Uncle Oliver, you will forever be in my heart and memories. I'm sorry that I didn't get the recipe for your famous chili which you made for me whenever I asked. I am blessed to have shared so many milestone memories with you and Aunt Odessa like going to Las Vegas for your 50th wedding anniversary. It was amazing to see the look on both of your faces when you saw a limo driver at the airport to take us to the hotel. I will treasure that and many more. I miss and love you. RIH Uncle!!!

Cousin Oliver, As so many try to grapple with your transition, it is well known that you were a pioneer, trailblazer, and counselor to generations of today. It is not easy to see someone of your value leave us, and we will never truly know the real sacrifices you have made as the Mississippi and Chicago days unfolded down through the years. The family is so grateful to have such a dedicated member such as you, who believes wholeheartedly in the weavened fabric that binds us together. Since our first conversation, you have always been the person to call on, any day or night, for advice. Your military experience helped to guide me and so many others in terms of staying on the course, no matter how difficult it gets. Thank you for all your support in bringing the family together during reunions and helping us to fill in the missing pieces in regards to the family tree. You helped bridge the puzzle together; from California, Texas, Chicago, New York, Maryland, South/North Carolina, Michigan, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, and the list goes on. Our hearts are heavy right now, but the memories you leave behind will always provide us with a smile. Take your rest, Cousin Oliver, and stand easy. "We have the Watch" Hand Salute; Snap Sir!
