Obituary For Anthony Hardwrick
Honoring the life of Anthony Hardwrick
Anthony Deion Hardwrick, affectionately known as โTonyโ was born September 6, 1966, to his loving parents Riley and Gracie Hardwrick. He was introduced to Christ at an early age and declared a strong reaffirmation of his faith in the final moments of his life. His soul transitioned on August 30th, 2024.
In his final days and hours here on earth, he was surrounded by the people that loved him most! Tonyโs infectious personality and boisterous laugh could light up any room. He laughed so loud, it would seemingly send vibrations through the walls. His larger than life personality without question leaves an indelible mark on all who knew him. There wasnโt a debate or argument he didnโt โwinโ! Tony was always โrightโ! He often used his rank as โBig Brotherโ in some of the most unwelcomed times and wouldnโt let his younger siblings forget that โprestigiousโ title, which would often be met with an eye roll.
Tony proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for six years, where he distinguished himself as a Sergeant and combat soldier. His dedication and bravery earned him numerous commendations, some include; the National Defense Service Medal, SouthWest Asia Service Medal, and Combat Action Ribbon. He also worked at Commercial Forge Products, alongside his Father who retired with over 30 years of service.
Above all his achievements, Tony's greatest pride was his role as a father. He was an exceptionally devoted dad to his first-born, Amber Deiondra Hardwrick, and his son, Anthony Naras Hardwrick, Jr., affectionately known as Tone Tone. His children were the center of his world, and his profound love for them was unmatched. The latest addition to his circle was the birth of his first grandson on August 9th, 2024, Tahir Ahmad Billingslea. During his weakest moments, he lovingly held him in his arms. It was his fervent prayer to be able to do this and God granted his request.
Tony was also an avid dog lover, renowned for his ability to train and care for his canine companions. His family often turned to him for advice on all things dog-related, and his affection for his pets was a testament to his kind and generous heart.
He is survived by his parents, Riley and Gracie Hardwrick; his beloved children, Amber Hardwrick, and Anthony Hardwrick, Jr., 3 siblings, Jerrold Hardwrick, Aimee Egesa, and Cora Bennett and one Brother in Law, Andrew Bennett. He was unfortunately preceded in death by his youngest brother, Riley Hardwrick Jr. He also leaves to mourn him, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who cherished him deeply.
Tonyโs close friends, Scarlett Mitchem and James Willis aka (Rabbit), were a source of immense love and support during his most challenging times, and their unwavering presence was a true blessing.
Tony will be profoundly missed, but we find comfort in the knowledge that he is now at peace in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. May God grant us peace as we navigate this difficult time, we ask for your continued prayers and support.
Making the simple complicated is commonplace. Making the complicated awesomely simple; that's creativity
