Kenethia “Monique” Thompson was born on July 30, 1985, in Chicago, IL to her late mother Debbie Thompson. She was the oldest of 7 siblings. Even though her government name was Kenethia, she went by many; Monique, Mo, Wuzin, Sistah etc.

Monique was educated through the Chicago Public School system, she graduated from Collins Academy High School in 2003. Monique was known for her amazing voice, wonderful personality and joyful spirit. She was such a social person, very helpful and caring. Like her mother (Debra), she was the life of the party and could bring the biggest smile to your face with her crazy jokes. She could also be found at the kitchen table jamming to her music.

Monique also loved spending time with her family & friends. You could catch her enjoying the moment and making memories with her children Sumaria & Antanya or turning up with her favorite wuzins/friends. Monique made sure you knew she was in the room with her amazing personality (coolest person ever). She touched so many people's hearts and had many skills for customer services, retail/sales & working as a CNA. We all knew Monique as a caring person that loved hard.

On Friday, June 14, 2024, God decided her work on this earth was done and she now can rest in the arms of the lord. She now awaits the sound of the trumpet calling all who are in Christ Jesus “to God be the glory”. To proceed with her in death is her loving mother (Debbie Thompson), grandmother (Emma Thompson), grandfather (Lee Eddie Thompson- Bubba), favorite uncle (Jesse Thompson)

She leaves to honor and to cherish her memory: Her beautiful daughters Sumaria & Antanya. Four sisters; Simone, Diamond, Jackie, & Leoneshia. Three brothers; Tevin, Dewallace & Kevyn, a host of special nieces, nephews, close relatives, lots of wonderful cousins that were so much more, Godmother, God sister and some special friends. and many more of her beautiful family.
