Great guy I've known Smitty for nearly 12-13 years. We lived in the same building on the same floor. We also bowled together on Friday mornings at Olympia Lanes. I will miss my buddy...

"Friendship" Beatrice Taylor (Williams) classmate Melton, "Thank you for being a friend" We traveled down many roads in life; however, the journey that leads back to a "friend" that grew up with us is "priceless". The road of our friendship leads to where purpose, progress and the process began. Melton you were a "family friend" & we have fond memories of you always being ready and willing to help. I remember how you would assist Mama "Emma-Mae" with the ice-cream machine whenever she wanted to make homemade ice cream. Growing up in the Douglas Community of Gould Arkansas was a memorable, and humbling experience, but the greatest part of it all were the friendships we made along the way. Memories, laughter, long talks and humorous stories. From Childhood to Young Adults, to Silver Foxes, you were my friend and I'm really going to miss you. Beatrice Taylor (Williams)

To the Family from a Friend from Home (Arkansas) you have my condolences, he will be misssid. "Friendship" Melton, "Thank you for being a friend" We traveled down many roads in life; however, the road that leads back to a "friend" that I grew up with is "priceless". The Journey, the Purpose, the Process, and the Plan is where life began. Melton you were a "family friend" & I have clear memories of you always willing and ready to help, and how you would assist Mama "Emma-Mae" with making ice-cream when stopped by for a family visit. Growing up in the county of "Douglass Arkansas was a memorable, adventurous and humbling experience, but the greatest part of it all were the friends I gathered along the way. The laughter, the conversations, and the funny stories were memorable. From Childhood to Young Adults, to Silver Foxes, you were my friend and I'm really going to miss you! Beatrice Taylor (Williams)
